Emoji and quick replies in the reply box

The reply box has two shortcuts. The smiley button opens an emoji grid, and the lightning button opens your saved quick replies with a search box. Inserted text stays editable, so nothing goes out until you press send.

Where to find it

Open Conversations and choose a thread. The reply box is at the bottom. On the WhatsApp page, switch the conversation to human handling first, because the reply box is available in that mode.

How to use it

Click the smiley button and choose an emoji. It appears where the cursor is, and the grid closes.
Click the lightning icon and pick a reply. Its text is inserted at the cursor, and you can change it before sending.
In an empty reply box, type / and keep typing to filter, for example /hou. Use the arrow keys and Enter to insert the highlighted reply.
Press Escape to close the list. To change your replies, click Manage quick replies at the bottom of the list.
